In this session, teachers will explore how to engage K-2 students in computational thinking through literacy education with hands-on activities like unplugged, CT toys, and embodied tasks. Our research team from Indiana, Purdue, and Iowa State University, along with K-2 teachers, developed ten tasks with lesson plans and materials for both literacy and non-literacy contexts in hybrid method, using tools like Code and Go Robot Mouse, Tale-Bot, and ScratchJr. Also, teachers will learn to integrate familiar stories to foster computational thinking, focusing on sequencing with books like If You Give a Mouse a Cookie, Joey and Jet, The Snowy Day, The Jacket I Wear in the Snow, The Three Little Pigs, and After the Fall (How Humpty Dumpty Got Back Up Again.
